Game Of Life Conway

Engineering computing algorithm cellular automata.
Game of life conway. The game of life also known simply as life is a cellular automaton devised by the british mathematician john horton conway in 1970. Its displacement is two cells horizontally and one cell vertically or vice versa every six generations which is the fastest possible knightship speed. It consists of a collection of cells which based on a few mathematical rules can live die or multiply. Any live cell with two or three live neighbors lives on to the next generation.
This game became widely known when it was mentioned in an article published by scientific american in 1970. This is sir robin the first elementary spaceship that travels in an oblique direction. There are only four rules. Any live cell with fewer than two live neighbors dies as if caused by under population.
Conway s game of life. An interactive demonstration of conway s game of life. On 6 march 2018 the first member of a new class of conway s life spaceships was discovered. It is a cellular automaton and was invented by cambridge mathematician john conway.
One interacts with the game of life by creating an initial configuration and observing how it evolves. It is a zero player game meaning that its evolution is determined by its initial state requiring no further input.
